Phoenixville Hospital is proud to have 18 experienced robotic surgeons on staff utilizing the latest generation robotic surgical system (both DaVinci® XI and SI), and since November of 2006, has been the largest robotic program in Chester County with more than 3,500 robotic-assisted surgeries.

Robotic surgery is a type of minimally invasive surgery that uses computer-assisted technology to aid in surgical procedures. Rather using large incisions, surgeons employ miniaturized surgical instruments to create a series of small incisions for better precision. Patients undergoing robotic surgery have a lower risk for infection, less scarring, and a shorter hospital stay.
