Regional Rehab Center

To be admitted to the Regional Rehab Center at Phoenixville Hospital, patients must meet the following admissions criteria:

  • Require close supervision by a rehabilitation physician
  • Require 24-hour-a-day rehabilitation nursing care
  • Have the ability to participate in an intensive rehabilitation program, usually consisting of three hours of therapy per day at least five days a week
  • Have a reasonable expectation for improvement
  • Require a coordinated team approach that will include at least two of the following:
    • Physical therapy
    • Occupational therapy
    • Speech-language pathology
    • Prosthetics or orthotics

Upon referral to the Regional Rehab Center, the admissions coordinator will meet with the patient to introduce the unit and answer any questions the patient or family may have. Medical records will be reviewed to determine if the patient meets the admission criteria. Once approved, the admissions coordinator will arrange for admission to the center.
